GSO Test

Each term we collect data about the progress that students are making and this data tells us whether students are making the progress that we would expect them to be making at that point in time.  Intervention can mean different things depending on the age of the student, their starting point, from which we measure their progress, and the reason for the intervention.

Intervention could be supporting a student through the pastoral system to attend school more regularly, it could be providing one to one or small group reading to ensure that a child, whose reading age falls below their chronological age, is supported to catch up.  It could be intervention to ensure that a GCSE student keeps up with the work and is learning at a rate that will ensure success.
